Where the name comes from.
Forty moons is forty weeks. One full cycle of life coming into being. We named this shop after that idea because it felt true to what we are doing here. Taking things that already exist, caring for them, and sending them into the world again.
Forty Moons started as a baby clothing brand in Camden, Maine. Over the years it grew into something bigger. Now it is a place where you can find clothing, jewelry, home goods, furniture, kitchen pieces, and more. Everything hand selected. Everything honestly labeled. Everything priced to make sense.
We are based in Camden, Maine. We shop slowly. We care about what we sell. And we believe that the best find is often something that already had a life before yours.
